Department of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence

image * Master of Soft Computing y intelligent systems. It provides of advanced training in the field of Intelligent Systems and in particular fundamental techniques such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary computation, and probabilistic processing, among others. Those techniques are studied in the context of important issues such as data mining, bioinformatics, semantic web, robotic or intelligent databases.

  • Postgraduate degree in multimedia systems.. It provides of comprehensive training on topics of processing, analysis and transmission of audio and video signals, both theoretical and practical aspects. This specific training won't only prepare the student who have completed the master in order to obtain the degree of doctor, but also will qualify him to start a job in companies in need of specialists in multimedia technologies.
  • Master in Probabilistic Graphical Models for Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining . The research areas of this master are: decision analysis using probabilistic graphical models, optimization and metaheuristics in probabilistic graphical models, models based on mixtures of truncated exponential, probabilistic graphical models applied to problems in bioinformatics, machine learning and mining data in probabilistic graphical models, inference algorithms in probabilistic graphical models, application of probabilistic graphical models to information retrieval, and imprecise probabilities in probabilistic graphical models.

  • Máster en Ingeniería de Computadores y Redes. This master has the following objectives. The design, implementation, and evaluation of computing platforms and networks to provide the levels of performance that satisfy the requirements of applications in terms of cost, speed, reliability, availability and security. In addition to development activities of the computer and network engineering. The techniques and methodologies to address problems from new perspectives that appear in certain applications of interest, thanks to the availability of computing and communication platforms with ever increasing performance levels . Also, the emphasis is on practical applications in areas of biomedicine and bioinformatics, optimization and forecasting, advanced control, and bio-inspired robotics, all from the viewpoint of algorithmic techniques from computer or desirable characteristics in architectures where it's executed.

The Master in Software Development aims to train students in the fundamentals and applications of advanced software development with a particular emphasis on: the software development methodologies, human-computer interaction, Computer Graphics, integrating information, concurrent systems, and systems based on dialogue and multimodal speech processing.
